Pouring concrete at night for the new building in Metairie.
Fabricating the new ark in Gabriel Bass's workshop in Israel. The design was inspired by the original bema rail that was from the congregation's earlier building on Carondelet Street and was relocated in the chapel on Canal Boulevard. It did not survive the flood, and was replicated for the new building.
Mr. Bass flew the ark, bema and mechitzah over from Israel and assembled them in place in the new sanctuary.
