BH+L completed a Master Plan for this historic church near Philadelphia.  The process included extensive interviews with many of the congregation’s ministries, groups, administrators and clergy.  Resolving many issues was the design of a new narthex that provided the needed organizing element, focused the circulation patterns and provided the impetus for renewal of the building’s systems.  The narthex has a new grand stairway leading up to the sanctuary, previously reached by two tight, winding staircases, and new accessible toilet rooms. The overall Master Plan also included a new Social Hall addition, expanded parking, and a stormwater management system.
