Washington College

Selected Projects
Chestertown, MD

BH+L had done work at Washington College on Maryland's Eastern Shore since 1989.  The first project involved the adaptive reuse of the College's turn-of-the-century boiler house as studio, classroom and exhibit space for the Creative Arts Department.

Other projects have included the creation of the Student Study Lounge, renovations to the Cove snack bar and the Student Center space, and a total remake of Hynson Lounge, the College's formal dining room.  The most recent work was a comprehensive Feasabiliy Study that explored adding a $16,000,000 student dining hall to replace the College's 1960's era facility.

Other campus projects included the renovation of several dormitories and a new campus student health facility.
