Esperanza Health Center
Esperanza Health Center purchased a circa 1925, 35,000 square foot bank building in the Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia to serve as a full-service primary care facility. The new facility includes two floors of exam rooms, dental and other specialty care services, classrooms, a cafe and a chapel. The massive vault serves as a staff lounge. Esperanza Health Center’s mission is to provide affordable, quality, bilingual primary health care and support services to their patients and to promote the health of the North Philadelphia community.
Esperanza Health Center is a winner of the Grand Jury Award of the Preservation Alliance for Greater Philadelphia, the Merit Award of the Pennsylvania AIA Design Excellence Awards, and Honorable Mention from Building Design + Construction's Reconstruction Awards.
